Deciding to start Tinkering Thoughts feels a bit like deciding to learn to juggle – ambitious, slightly clumsy, and with a good chance of dropping a few balls along the way :D
Ignition
On a regular Bangalore workday, as the evening sky turned mix hues of pink and orange, I was just about to leave the office, but then this 5 min* chit chat with a new teammate set a lot of things different in motion.
We sat there for just a casual introduction but man this guy turned this into me experiencing his adventurous trip vividly through just pure vocals. He was telling me all about his passion for exploration, his love for adventure trips and how it always ends up in giving him a new perspective.
His enthusiasm was infectious, and I found myself completely absorbed. There's something incredibly powerful about words spoken with such passion. That half-hour flew by, and I kept on reflecting on our conversation, smiling even all the way home.

Later I shared my reflection with this tweet
And wow, I had no idea so many people would relate to just this boring routine anecdote. It struck a chord, you know? There are people out there so much like me. And you might think, 'So what? Big deal!' But here's the thing - this was personal stuff. I never imagined others finding joy in the same little things as me. Sure, everyone loves Belgian Chocolate Ice cream, that's a given. But to find joy in these unique quirks too? Surprise!!
This realisation was what hit me first. Looking back, I've always had this weird interest in reading personal blogs or threads about others. There's something about reading someone's content that feels like living their life through a lens. So one day, I thought why not jot down my thoughts and talk to random people? It would be magical if they could relate. What’s there to lose, right? And that's exactly when the idea hit me.
What’s next?
Frankly I don’t have an exact answer to this right now. Just wanted to make an honest attempt to put myself out there. From the everyday musings of Bangalore life to my latest read, from my thoughts on product design to my experiments with fitness routines, and yes, even my occasional learnings around AI - anything might be here. We might not always know where we’re heading, but isn’t that the beauty of it?
But here’s what I promise - it’s going to be raw, real and relatable.
